What do you say to that?

How do you answer difficult questions asked by your children? Recently my oldest, who biologically is not my husband's child, was in contact with her other counter part. During one of the exchanges he said some things that got her thinking, bringing up difficult questions. Not because of what I did, but how do you tell your child that things they are told or thought aren't true? I went with the philosophy of don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Over the years I gave her basic information, names, events, etc. I didn't initiate conversations, but didn't shy away from them either.

So now she gets an email from this person stating that he was a drug user and stating a bunch of other info that basically is either what he wanted to happen or what his drug addled mind wished had happened so he now thinks is true. I am now presented with the task of detailing the whole sorted mess to my daughter, because she asked.

How do you tell your daughter that 5 weeks after having her you had to go back to work because he wouldn't?
How do you tell her that you had to work two jobs often only seeing her when she slept for the first 7 months of her life because bills had to be paid and he wasn't paying them?
How do you tell your daughter that you had to push her around in a stroller when you went anywhere and take the grocery cart home when you grocery shopped because he traded the car you drove for a pound of marijuana?
How do you tell your daughter that you couldn't make a call in your own house w/o worrying that the conversation was being recorded because he placed a tap on the phone line?
How do you tell your daughter that you feared of an STD because he was a manwhore?
How do you tell your daughter that you kicked him out of the house after finding condom wrappers on the floor of her nursery, under your bed and in his car? (oh yes, because he kept his car and only "traded" mine)
How do you tell her that even after that, for her you tried again to keep your family together, only to find out that he smoked meth in the living room while you were asleep in your bed 15 feet down the hall?
How do you tell her that after you told him to leave he hit and choked you only stopping after 911 was called? Thank God that I can multitask and fight off a jerk and dial the phone at the same time LOL!
How do you tell your daughter that the restraining order was never served because he didn't stay in one spot long enough for the cops to find him, he had no job and even his parents didn't want him?
How do you tell your daughter that even after getting the locks changed he still broke in and took all the money from her piggy bank and the money you had saved to pay bills?
How do you tell your daughter that you had to count pennies to buy diapers because along with taking the cash on hand he also took the money from her savings account, your checking account and the joint credit card you had?
How do you tell her that you laughed out loud when he asked you to marry him after doing all of this to her and you?
How do you tell her that he threatened to kill her, you then himself when you wouldn't take him back?
How do you tell her that he stole the only car seat that you had for her and made you drive her w/o a seat from her grandmother's (his mom) to the store to buy a new seat when she was two and NEEDED to be restrained?
How do you tell her that he sued you for custody and child support when he wasn't even paying support, made you hire a lawyer and failed to show to either of the two hearings?
How do you tell her that it took him loosing his license and spending a few nights in jail before he decided that paying support might be a good thing?
How do you tell her that during her supposed supervised visits her grandmother would allow him to take her to his friends houses where he would get so messed up on drugs that he would forget where she was was?
How do you explain that he changed his last name making her last name meaningless forcing you to hire yet another lawyer to have her last name changed to that of her sister's so it would again mean something?
How do you tell her that her memory of him telling her that the woman he married was her new mommy is true, along with any other memory she has as no one can tell you what you remember as your own memory is wrong?
How do you tell her that pretty much everything in that email was a lie except for the part about him caring for her (I hope) and his being a drug user?

Honestly, I was hoping she would have been older when this conversation presented itself. At seventeen this is a lot for someone to bare. I was vague about it all for a reason. The whole mess is embarrassing. I'm embarrassed that my children have different fathers. I am embarrassed that I allowed myself to get caught up with someone so completely wrong and I am embarrassed that I was fooled more than once by him. If anything good were to come out of this it would hopefully be that people aren't all they appear to be and never, ever take words at face value when you do not know the person, and sometimes even if you do know them and maybe, just maybe that she wont make the same mistakes I made at her age.

What did you say?

With being raised in a house of boys I was not prepared for the fights that girls, sisters, have with each other. My brothers would argue, have a fight over it physical confrontation and it would be done and usually forgotten. My girls bicker non-stop. There is usually one of them in some type of trouble for the words that came out of their mouth. Words are tossed around my house like daggers are tossed at the spinning lady in the circus. "What did you say?" is a usual phrase that is asked of them. I have to laugh about their once trying to fool me with using similar words to repeat when I asked that. For example, 'stop being stupid' was repeated as 'stop playing cupid'. Who do they think came up with that? We owned the phrase change game! That must be why they stopped playing it, even though I secretly laughed on the inside at some of the phrases they came up with.

I often ask them if they know how lucky they are to have sisters. Trust me, if anyone knows about what it feels like to not have a sister it's me, just ask my five brothers LOL! Well, technically I did have a sister but she was about 5 years younger than my mom so when she was around (which wasn't often because she didn't like my mom much) it was like having two moms. My daughters have these people that they can share girlie stuff with and talk to about things, built in BFFs. Every weekend should be more like a big sleepover than a carnival fight. I hope they realize this soon, but maybe that is just my wishful thinking? My hopes are that when they are older they get over the cattiness they have and become not just sisters but friends as well.

McNice or McFraud?

After reading another blog I was directed to one of those "without pity"(WOP) sites about a popular site on the net. A site that has had me crying and laughing with them for the past two years. Reading the WOP site made me sad. I know that not everything put out on the net is factual, so I had to wonder which site was the real deal. I finally decided that the gray area in the middle is probably where the facts are. I also noted that maybe the owner and certainly some of those that leave comments are upset that she made her blog profitable. How wonderful would it be to go from foreclosure to a 1/2 million dollar home, near bankruptcy to having a money making business? I wouldn't mind being a part of that category. Will I stop reading either blog? Heck no, I never was good at looking away from a crash.

Another one of those days.

I am writing this at nap time, a much needed nap time today. It is just after noon and today I have already been through enough to last me all week. Started off the morning with getting the younger kids to school late. Not that late, but late is late and we were doing so well in that regard. Get home to find out that the baby has had a blow out. Go to toss the car seat cover and baby's clothes into the washer and nearly fall on my butt from the 1/2 gallon of juice Kira got all over the kitchen floor. The only thing I can come up with is she was trying to poor herself a glass and couldn't wait. So now my lower half is covered in cran-grape juice and the top half, since I was trying to carry soiled items and try to keep my self from falling, is covered in soil.

Toss the clothes in the washer, clean up the juice and change my clothes. Go to get lunch going when I hear the front door close. I run out and see Kira trying to make it down the front steps in my shoes. I must have forgotten to lock the door when we came back from dropping the kids off at school. I get her back inside, go to start the washer when Kira declares, "I poop mom." So I bring her to her room to change her, get her dressed and walk outside to throw away the diaper. I am running to the cans as I have the windows open and if Kira opens the door the force of the wind will slam the door on her fingers. She already lost two nails on her left hand from smashing them in the door, I didn't want a repeat of that incident. I get back to the door amazed that she is just looking out the side window by the door and not messing with the door itself and go to enter.

That is when my head smacks the locked door that I thought would give open when I pushed and my heart drops from my chest. Kira locked me out. This amazingly smart, tiny tornado figured out how to twist the lock and engage it just enough to prevent the door from opening. I tried for a few minutes to get her to twist it back but I don't think she understood exactly what she did to get it to lock. So I said another prayer that I didn't lock the garage door or the door leading into the house from the garage. Thankfully neither were locked. Had they been I am not sure exactly what my plan of action would have been, all of our neighbors work but two that are about a quarter of a mile down the road. I would have had to call Toby to come unlock the door as we have no hidden key, I think I'm going to need to change that or learn to carry my keys with me at all times. This isn't the first or undoubtedly the last time I have locked myself out, it is however the first time that I have been locked in an area other than where my kids were. Well there was that time when I locked myself out on the deck BUT Jake was technically outside too, just in his car seat in the car lol.

So that was my excitement for the day. Anything interesting happen in your day today?

Holy hairballs.

After 8 pregnancies and 7 children you would think that I would be used to this by now. What is it that I am talking about? Postpartum hair loss. It has gotten ridiculous for me the past few weeks. We are talking enough hair in one day to give any Barbie a nice wig. My hair is EVERYWHERE! I have had to untangle it from the vacuum brush, my poor baby has it all over him. The poor guy is always with me and my hair so he sees the most of it. I was trying to grow my hair out but gave up on that after cleaning my hair off of every surface of my house.

I finally went and got a cute shoulder length cut with layers. I am still loosing hair but at least the amount of hair seems to be less because it is shorter. I will buy my time with my shorter 'do and try to grow it out again after this shedding has stopped. I pray that its soon or I am sure to go bald :).

Really Jack Frost, can you just stop?

More snow, more school closings. This is getting really old! The snow piles on either side of our driveway are close if not higher than 4ft. I really do not know where we are going to put it. The snow drifts on our rural roads are far taller than my car.

I was supposed to have my first bpp/nst and another shot apt tomorrow. Looks like that wont be happening :(. Dang it I was really looking fwd to see this little guy and maybe getting another 3d pic of him ::sigh::. Maybe I will be lucky and get it all rescheduled for Friday. IF we are dug out by then that is lol!

So Mr. Jack Frost, go home or go back East where they are used to all this snow and leave us mid-westerners alone!

Again?!

Ok, so last week we got the all clear from the Dr re: Kira's pneumonia. One week later and she's back on antibiotics, breathing treatments, and eye drops for gunk that is pouring out of her eyes. Kaly has been on an antibiotic for a week and still isn't any better and she had a fever today too. Sheesh, you'd think we'd get a freaking break in here at some point right? Wrong, on top of all that I am starting to have 4 -6 contractions an hour. Just peachy! I really do not know what I will do if I'm put on bed rest. How does one w/so many kids even DO bed rest? LOL is it even possible?

I see my doctor on Thursday and will see what he says. I don't think that he uses terbutalin anymore so not sure what he'll do.

Finally..........

Ok, so I got the results of my test back and I don't have mono but probably am working on a nice little sinus infection. Kira is on the mend but still has fluid in her ears, her ENT apt was supposed to be this morning but thanks to mother nature it was canceled. So all the kids were out of school all last week, finally went back yesterday and had a snow day today, yeay me lol. Now back to what I was saying. When could the ENT get her back in you ask? Not until after the first of the year @@. Her dr apt went well and as long as she can shake this cold we are good to go. She will still have an apt with her pulminologist (SP?) in the next few weeks. Lets hope this hospital stay did the trick!

Another tid bit of news, turns out I am not on a final warning with work. They decided to put me at one hour off of a final warning. So if I am more than 5 min late to work I will be on a final and the next time I have to take off of work I'm fired ::sigh:: at least it gives me time to get into January when I will have more time to cover any thing that may happen.

Not so lucky!

Well we were not lucky. We got hit with yet another bug. Just when we thought we've gone through it all ::sigh::. Loryn has mono for sure, Kaly and Paige probably have it, they didn't test them, Jake was tested and doesn't but has a wicked bad sinus infection, Kira had ROUND FOUR of pneumonia and ended up spending a few days in the hospital. I have something but my damn doctor/nurse decided that I can just wait until Monday to figure out what exactly I do have. I am very, very close to loosing my job. Funny how the Mothering Magazine Friendly Mom Employer of the Year company would actually action plan an employee who is at the hospital with her kid (not really funny at all). I shouldn't have expected more since they action planned me when I had h1n1. Guess I should have came in and infected the whole building @@. Yes, not only am I ticked off but at my breaking point. Grrrrr! 2010 had better be better because I cannot take another year like this!

Coco Keys DISASTER!

I started work this past Monday and before I started I wanted to take the kids on a quick trip for two reason, one I knew after I started I would have neither the time or the energy and two school will be starting in 13 days. Time was running out and last weekend was the time. I planned, and shopped and booked a two night stay at the indoor water park Coco Keys inside the Holiday Inn Convention Center. The rooms only came with 4 tickets a day so I found some coupon codes and bought another 9 tickets for the three days at the water park that we needed. Ordered them online, printed them out and we were good to go! Or so I thought.

We left home about 10am and got to the hotel around noon-had to make a pit stop at wally-world to buy swim dipes as I only had three left and I KNEW we'd need more than that. I was told on the phone that we couldn't check in until 3pm so I fully expected that we wouldn't be able to unload the car until after we played in the water park for a few hours. When we went to get our bracelets they actually checked us in early so we didn't have unload everything while we were a bunch of drowned rats and tired from all the play-or in my case lugging around a 28lb baby all day lol!

When I made the reservations I was assured that there would be two double beds and a pull out couch for us, along w/the pack-n-play it would have been plenty of spots for the kids and I to sleep. Toby had to work all weekend so he was going to come up to Omaha after each day and eat dinner w/us and play in the water after. We also have the dog to take care of and my hubby being one who does not appreciate neither confined space with lots of people or items used by other people such as pillows, beds, towels etc it worked out great for him lol.

So we get up to the room which seemed like a mile from the water park w/all the twisty hotel hallways and find there are only two double beds and a desk, no couch. I call the desk and they offer to bring up a roll away which made things crowded for the two that would have to share that. Strike ONE Coco Keys!

We played in the park until Toby got off work at 7pm. He still had some things to do so we ended up having dinner w/o him that evening. We went and had buffet dinner in the hotel and it was fantastic! They had prime rib along w/any other fav food except Mexican, they had crab rangoon, mini egg rolls, chicken tenders, pasta, macaroni and potato salad and much more. The only bad part was the $18.75 price PER plate. They did have a deal that four kids 12 and under ate for free w/each adult served. So I ended up only paying for Haley and I, not too bad. Toby didn't get to the hotel until 9pm so it was too late to enjoy the park but we did get to swim in the regular hotel pool for an hour before that closed. Since he got there so late, Toby decided to stay the night which surprised me, but I went with it. Wasn't a great night for me as Jake and Toby took up the bed and I ended up on the edge of the bed squished up against the pack-n-play.

The next morning we got up Toby headed out to take care of the dog and check on his jobs but was able to be back my 11am so the kids only missed an hour in the park BUT got to hang out with their dad. They all had a blast, Kira loved the lazy river and ended up falling asleep in my lap every time we went on it. Loryn, Kaly, Paige and Haley loved the slides that required climbing up 4 stories of stairs while carrying a heavy double inner tube or single tube. I was not a fan of the stairs or lugging the tube but didn't find out about that until Sunday :). Jake liked the lazy river and crossing the pool on some floating lilly pad things. He got good by the end of his stay!

That night Jake decided to leave with Toby because he didn't sleep well either. That made me sad and very upset with the hotel, if they had given us what the promised we would have had more room and I know he would have stayed and enjoyed himself. STRIKE TWO Coco Keys!

The girls and I decided to go back to the buffet for dinner while Toby and Jake ate at a restaurant somewhere between Omaha and home. They had a much needed boy's night. When we got to the buffet the prime rib they served me was so rare it was bleeding, BLEEDING! So gross. I chose not to complain though because they ended up only charging me for my plate and not Haley's that night. I really couldn't beat spending $25 w/tip to feed us all a sit down, non fast food dinner.

That night Kira was so exhausted she couldn't unwind, she screamed for over an hour that night before she fell asleep and then for 2 hours from about 3am to 5am. To say that I was tired was an understatement. That morning Toby called to say that Jake didn't want to come back, so he ran around w/Toby and they both went home and cleaned the house and did laundry! My husband last did laundry two years ago and when he did it was only his work clothes, so this was HUGE!

We packed up all our stuff and loaded it back in the car and was able to get a nice shady spot to park, with everyone checking out we had plenty to choose from. We then checked out of the room and headed over to the park. I told the girls that we would stay until we got hungry for lunch and then we'd leave and pick up something on the way home. I was more than ready to leave at noon but the girls hung in until 2pm. I know they had to have been starving but were having so much fun they stuck it out. I could have curled up and went to sleep, after 7 hours of sleep in 2 days and then climbing them stairs 8 times to ride the tube slides w/both Loryn and Kaly in turn. Sleep is all I wanted to do.

We got home around 3:30pm and since I had to work the next day I finished unpacking and worked on the mountain of laundry that we brought home.

Fast forward to Monday when I check our bank account and see that I have $112 in bank fees. That account is used ONLY for household items and was the account used for the trip. I knew down to the penny what was in there and what was spent and there is no way I went over. Turns out Coco Keys double billed me for the E-tickets. No problem I will just call Coco Keys and get it taken care of. Three days and three calls with messages left and NO CALLS back. I was ticked off!

I call Wednesday evening after work and speak with M, the rudest manager on duty on the face of the earth. I swear this lady should consider a career change as customer service skills are completely lacking in her personality. She cut me off every time I tried to speak, which did nothing for my anger but only increased it then she said she would "see IF" they could do anything about it. Ummm excuse me? You had better make damn sure that something IS DONE not "see IF" it can be done! So she emails her boss who then does the unthinkable and fwds her email to me to respond to my concern. She was even rude and made it seem like I was making the whole mess up in the email! I wrote ol' E a nice little email back letting him know exactly what I thought of M and her attitude as well as her behavior.

To make a long story even longer it's been nearly two weeks and this is STILL going on! I did end up getting a refund of $45 LESS than what the duplicate was for. I ask E why this is and his response was that I used 3 of the 9 tickets that I purchased. Uh huh, so? They charged me for EIGHTEEN, what does my using 3 of the actual 9 that I purchased matter one bit? I mean come on, how can a business be run by such incompetent people?

Do I recommend Coco Keys? Sure, only if you can afford to spend twice as much as you planned on spending, enjoy spending time from your day chasing down your money and trying to get people to respond to your inquiries/complaints. Then get to have the lovely time of being made to feel like their mistakes are all your fault. HA silly me, I should have went to Wolf's Lodge where they don't have this problem!

Back to school shopping or bust! Back 2 school = bust

This year I will have five kids attending 3 different schools. I will have three in elementary (little man is starting kindergarten!), one in middle school and one in high school. I have figured out that it will remain this way until the baby is in middle school then I will have kids in only two schools, well no THEN I will have the big kids in college which could possibly span across the entire country. Can you imagine? I don't even want to think about it right now, it scares me a bit. Right now having to be at two back to school functions held on the same time, same night at two different schools is plenty for me right now.

I was sitting down working on a budget for school supplies and flipping through ads figuring out the best prices for all of them. Most likely I will end up at Walmart price matching but I must be organized to get the right prices and prove that they are in fact sale items. Much easier than store hopping, although I am certain we may end up at each of the stores any way looking for the backpack w/the biggest coolness factor. @@ Middle schoolers are so funny about that :).

As I was going over the lists I realized that not only have the lists grown from last year but adding another child has about broke the bank. NO, not really since his list consists of about 7 items and three of those are gym shoes, tissues and a backpack. I found sales for the other items bringing his list to a grand total of $2.88 +tax. Not bad really since we already have the backpack and I plan to get all the kids' gym shoes at payless except for my oldest who must have name brand (dang coolness factor again grrr! lol). The rest of the kids outside of backpacks and gym shoes I came up with around $80 depending on the scientific calculators available and if my oldest can find her one from last year, if not that amount could go up at least another $25-50.

I am still trying to figure out when public schools started to require students to provide their own materials for learning. I remember cans of scissors, pencils, markers and a cabinet that contained paper, now we have to stock that cabinet and our kids carry boxes w/pens, markers, crayons and pencils. When I was in high school, my freshman year we had to pay for the books up front like you would in college and then received a partial refund at the end of the year provided the books were in semi-usable condition when returned. My sophomore year they did away with that and you only paid if you lost or destroyed a book, I don't recall having to purchase anything other than gym clothes, notebooks and folders. Of course I was a child and my mom took care of that stuff, so what would I know about it LOL!

I have started the countdown since school starts 8/13 for the older two and the 17th for the younger three. I also have to be ready for the surprise items that are given to us on the orientation night for my high schooler THE NIGHT BEFORE school starts. Don't ask, I have no idea why they would do this to parents.

We then of course have to add in the amount for school clothes, we hit old navy last weekend and didn't even make a dent in what is needed. A person could go broke!

What the heck?

Ok, since I haven't had a real leave the house job in (holy crap!) two years I try to schedule when I leave the house at times that are not normal commute times. Today I did not have that option, I was on my way to my 2nd interview with a company and the interview time was at noon. First off, who the heck schedules an interview at lunch time? That's just nuts! I was starving, and didn't get out of there until nearly 3pm. But anyway off track again, on my way there I was behind a guy who was driving crazy. We got to a traffic light and we both were turning left, it was then that it looked like he was eating a popsicle. The mom in me automatically figured that he was driving weird because he dripped on himself and was trying to clean it up. As we travel further down the road, his driving was getting worse, to the point that he almost took out 3 mailboxes. I was at the point where I was seriously thinking of calling 911 to report a drunk driver. It was then that he brought his "popsicle" up to a level that I could see it and noticed that it was actually a cell phone. This time when he had it up the screen was lite. As I was finally able to pass him and get the heck away from him before he crashed his car I saw that he was texting while driving. Common sense would tell you after you nearly crashed into the first mailbox that you should abandon any attempts at saving minuets and call the person before you kill yourself, or worse, someone else. This guy lacked this common sense were my thoughts as I went down the road. About two miles later a guy in a HUGE Dodge Ram truck nearly sideswiped my truck. I was more than a bit peeved when I passed him and saw that he didn't even realize what he nearly did. Why you ask? Because he was too busy TEXTING someone! Twice in less than 10 minutes I had two fools driving in close proximity being completely unsafe. Now I will say that I am NO saint, I am guilty of sending out a quick text IN THE PAST while driving. I did have the good sense to set the phone down if my driving suffered due to it and have stopped completely since. I have no desire to be the one that takes a loved one away from another for my stupidity.

Has something similar happened to any of you? Would you have called 911?

Looking back now, I know I should have but my main concern was to get away from those people before I was the one they hit.

In case you made it this far and were wondering, the interview went great. It was actually two interviews and a tour of the building. I should know in the next few days if I got the job.

Computer/Internet Problems

Crappy days, I tell ya! I had my laptop crash, then dh's crashed (lost all kinds of pictures, school work and business files, praying DIT can find them!) After we got that figured out and got me up and running on one, mice or ground squirls decided that my underground phone lines would make a tasty snack. This interupted my DSL and had me running to the library to finish up on my finals and reports for a few of my classes. Good times I tell ya! So I will be catching up on some posts. I have them written out in word and need to xfer them on to blogger, so look for those later today/tomorrow. I will also FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY announce my great news in the morning. I would tell you all now but I am completely wore out from my 30 Day Challenge and my weed patch, errr uh, I mean garden. Why is it weeds grow faster then any other green plant on the face of the earth?

Why did they stop making Calgon?

I know everyone has had these kinds of days, I just wish I didn't get so many! If they still made Calgon I would fill my bath tub and try to get it to take me away, not to mention that a hot bath on such a chilly day would be devine, add a good book and some quiet in the house OH HEAVEN! So I thought I would make a list of the top 10 reason my day has sucked so far:

10. It's 6* outside and with windchill it feels like -4* (probably more since it's windier here than in town).

9. My pot roast is going to have to cook an extra two hours because it's cooking was interupted.

8. I had some items that needed to be mailed today but I have no car.

7. It's cold in the house because we had no heat for a few hours.

6. I missed turning in an assignment and the teacher will not take a late turn in (GRRRR).

5. My hair is so frizzy and gross and even all the crap I put on it and flat ironed it, it's still resembles Carrot Top's hair just not as cool.

4. My husband's car may be out of commission for more than just today, so I may be without a car as well.

3. Kira has puked on me six time in the past 2 hours, so I have the lovely au do baby puke sent going on.

2. Our house was without power for two hours and it threw off my whole groove. Laundry sat in the washer, not washing, in the dryer-not drying, my kids sat at their school without power and I couldn't call to see if school was cancelled.

1. When taking the dog out, I slipped and fell flat on my back smacking the back of my head on the pavement.

Uhhhh my car told me to call you.......

Yup, that's what happened! I was driving down the road when my navigation errored out along with all the lights on my dash that had to do with brakes. Bells were binging and when I hit the navigation error it told me to call my dealership. So I called them up and told them that my car told me to call you. They got a kick out of that. I took my car in on Friday and she has to spend the weekend there. They did give me a nice little F-250 crew cab to drive, it's very nice and roomy and I'm now wanting one. It's funny because it's the car that Toby had wanted to get me instead of the Explorer.

Also, I didn't realize how dependant I have become on my navigation until I drove a vehicle with out it! Our dealership is in Blair, Nebraska, which is a little town outside of Omaha. From our house we take little back road highways to get there and usually I just plug in the address and go but on the way home I was a bit nervous not sure if I was going the right way or not. I DID go the right way but I sure do miss the lady that tells me to turn right in two tenths of a mile LOL.

Livid!!!!

Yep that's me, at least i'm sure that's what haley is thinking about now LOL.

I don't know how your views on Myspace and Facebook are with your teens but with me and mine it is a for sure NO. Haley and I have had the Myspace talk many, many times. She tried the old 'my friends all have them' nope don't care. There are many reasons why I don't want her to have one but lets start w/the obvious one of she's a kids who doesn't think and always believes things that people say. So imagine my shock when I turn on her computer and up pops Facebook as her set homepage with her email in the sign in box. Oh hell no! I asked her if she had an account and she at least said she did and didn't lie first, so I did what any parent would and asked her for her password LOL. She of course LIED about it and after 4 tries/lies I simply did a password reset and since I know her email because I do monitor that-not as closely as I should if she was able to set up a Facebook w/o me catching the email ::HMF::. I see 20 some odd borderline provocative pictures, her first and last name, full address, home and cell phone number, and her school. Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that is completely unsafe for the average person let alone a teen. She not only put herself in danger but all of her younger siblings as well. Our house is a predators dream as far as pretty little girls go and here she is spreading our info-along w/pics of her little siblings I might add-on a social networking site. Then I find out that she at least had the account since June but try as I might I can't find where the 'member since' info is on the account. If any of you know where this is located and can point me to it I'd appreciate it. In any case she lost her cell phone, computer, email, digital camera and after her dad sees the Facebook it will be deleted. In the meantime I changed the password and email addy on it so she can't reset the pw. I was looking at some of the girls she has on there and am dumbfounded as to why they would want to place pictures of themselves like that on this site. Just stamp "whore" on your forehead and forgo the internet completely LOL.

PITA!

We have been waiting for over two months for this stupid ass builder to pay us the money that Toby has been doing work for. We have invoiced him and have waited and called and tried to get paid. Today Toby finally put his foot down and told him that he needed to pay us or get someone else out to finish his 3 houses that are about to close. This got his attention and he meets with Toby and gives him a folder stating that WE owe him 10 grand instead of him owing US the 14 grand that he does! I am sitting here looking at this Excel spreadsheet and I am not kidding you this guy litterally MADE UP his own amounts. NONE of his amounts match up to what we invoiced him for. The amounts when broken down aren't even the price per piece that Toby does, the square footage is off (thank God Toby kept all the floor plans!), this guy is either nuts or a freaking MORON! I can not believe this jerk is trying to pull this crap. The worst part is all of these houses are already closed on so we can't even put a builder's lean on the home and get paid at closing :(. We are going to have to take him to court, I just have a feeling that it is going to go to that.

On a much better note Kali got her hair cut yesterday. It is much shorter than I would have gone and I totally did not want the bang on it but she did. It looks alright but she has some funky thing w/her hair on one side of her bangs so it gives the appearance of her bangs being uneven. Drives me nuts. I will post a picture that we took later as for some reason it wont load right now.
