Look at this!

I just had to share how thoughtful my oldest daughter Haley and her friends were in making these signs. They were made to hold up at my graduation and I love how creative they were. I wanted to save them but they are huge poster sized papers so I took a few shots of them and will keep these pics!

Trick or Treating Twenty-Ten.

Jonas snug as a bug in costume getting ready to take a nice nap while his brother and sisters load up on some trick-or-treat candy.
Kira the pink cowgirl decided that her trusty stead for the evening would be a stroller manned by her oldest sister as walking would be beneath this rodeo princess.

Here is the group, Kaly is the red queen, Loryn is a gangster, Paige is Alice, Haley is 1/2 grandma, 1/2 clown,  Jake is Bumblebee from Transformers, Kira a cowgirl and Jonas a lion.
The kids had a blast and made out like bandits, Kira could barely hold up sack.

Cha-cha-cha-changes!

Oh where to begin? There has been so much going on in the past month or so. Toby, Paige, Haley & I all got a little older.
Toby and Paige's birthdays fall on the same day however we celebrated them both on different days this year. Sort of giving Toby back his birthday.

I have trained my kids to tell anyone that asks that (depending on the child) I am anywhere between 21 and 25 years old. Gotta love their innocence lol!
Haley turned 17, SEVENTEEN! How did she grow up and get so old before my eyes?
I got a little smarter, I finally became a college graduate. There were times when I didn't think I would make it. At one point I was pregnant, working full time, helping Toby with his business taxes and paper work part time, and tending to a very sick toddler who was hospitalized, all while taking between 3 and 5 classes. I very nearly quit and am so glad I didn't.

Jonas turned 8 months old, and is starting to hit all of those lovely milestones most babies his age have already mastered. With his adjusted age he is right on track but since he is so big and is often larger than most babies his actual age it is hard for others to comprehend why he isn't, or rather wasn't doing normal stuff. I am happy to say that he now is rolling and scooting all over the place and starting to enjoy finding and getting into things that he should not be playing with. Although he is not crawling yet, he is getting up on all fours and trying. And, just two days ago he surprised us all be pulling up into a standing position out of no where. I often sit and look at him in wonderment as at 23lbs and 30in he looks more like a toddler than an infant.
Loryn played the last of her 14 games of volleyball. She did so well, I am very proud of all that she achieved. This was her first year playing and she not only learned the sport but did well enough to be put on the B team (her school has an A, B & C team).

There was so much more that went on but will add those events in on another post. Such a fun and crazy life and I am loving every minute of it!

Father's Day.

The kids really have enjoyed spending some time with their dad these past few days. I didn't have the camera out much to take pix of it all but I did want to share some of the fun stuff that they made him for Father's Day.

We'll start with KaliShe actually made this last year at school before it let out. She hid it in her room so Toby wouldn't find it before Father's Day and LOST it. She was grounded recently and had to clean out her entire room and go through toy bins etc and found it.

Jake not being in school or preschool wanted to do something like his sisters so we grabbed some of the art projects that we had laying around and put a Toby head on it. It cracks me up Gorilla Dad rocks!

Paige made Toby two things, one in school that is identical to Kaly's (they are only one grade apart so this must be the standard 2nd grade project). Seeing that Kal and her had similar ones she decided to do something different and created the picture below.
I LOVE it! Her dad is A-some! I know she meant awesome but A-some is so funny, kind of like A-hat. Toby and I were in a bit of a fight when she gave it to him and it brought a HUGE smile to my face.

Forever the jokester like her mom Loryn put together this little card. She really tries to push the limits, but I can't help it, it really is a funny card!

Haley made a card as well but it wasn't around when I took these pictures, it did go something like "Hope you like this card, because it's all I got you!" LOL I wonder if she will think a card like that is as funny when she gets her's from Toby on her 16th birthday!!

I hope you all had an A-some F-day!

30 Day Challenge - 2

Day two was a little more strenuous and not as fun as day one LOL! This game really got down to business and kicked my butt! I had did the buddy workout with Loryn. You see, not only am I doing the 30 day but I got the kids involved as well. Kal is out at a friends but as soon as she gets back she will be doing her challenge for today (her and Paige will be on day one and Haley, Loryn and I on day two). It was a lot of fun working out with Loryn though, we were both feeling the burn and sweating our butts off! After we did our workout we decided to check things out and set up our own fun little workout. Paige and I tried out the dancing, basketball, volleyball and did more tennis. When we were done Haley and Loryn decided to give it a try. Here is their results:

as you can see Loryn really put in the extra effort and even though she didn't burn as many calories as Haley did she still beat her. because of that, Haley was not at all happy but Loryn was doing the happy dance.

Huh?

I just realized that I haven't posted much but contests in a long time. Life around here is as crazy as ever. I have a lot crap to do for Toby's business BUT my effin computer decided that it wanted to crap out on me-kickin' myself for not backing up his files since FEB! OOPS lol! I hopefully will have it fixed in two weeks. School has started back up and like always the first few weeks I find myself overwhelmed until I get into the groove of how the classes work. Next semester I will actually go on campus for a few classes ::gasp!::. The kids are doing great, Haley is old enough for a learners permit and we are thinking about it. It's so hard to "let" them grow up. I still sometimes look at her and see her as the twirling-till-she-falls-down two year old. Loryn will be in middle school next year, that's equally crazy to think about, wont be but a few years and she will be pestering about her learner's permit. Kali is my boy-crazy 3rd grader who acts too mature for her age. Paige is my friendly, fun loving, girlie-girl. Jake tries to stay afloat in this sea of pink and does an ok job. He loves baseball and can't wait to start t-ball in June. He met a few kids from his team last year at the kindergarten round-up and made fast friends. Kira is about to turn a year old. This year has gone by so quickly! We aren't planning a huge birthday bash but just a family gathering and just planning that makes me sad. Why can't we freeze dry kids and keep them the perfect age LOL?

Paige thinking about what she should do next.

That is Kali under all that hair!

Kal falling through the tire swing that I was pushing her in. She was saying stuff that was cracking me up-which explains why I'm bent over lol!

Haley takin kira down the slide w/Paige crawling out from under it.

Loryn and a few of her friends at their final grade school performance :(.

Kira outside yesterday, I learned that my little girl is as city as I am. She SCREAMED everytime she even got near grass or dirt w/her bare piggies but didn't mind the concrete under her feet!
She got stuck in the excercauser :).

Just hangin' around.

Livid!!!!

Yep that's me, at least i'm sure that's what haley is thinking about now LOL.

I don't know how your views on Myspace and Facebook are with your teens but with me and mine it is a for sure NO. Haley and I have had the Myspace talk many, many times. She tried the old 'my friends all have them' nope don't care. There are many reasons why I don't want her to have one but lets start w/the obvious one of she's a kids who doesn't think and always believes things that people say. So imagine my shock when I turn on her computer and up pops Facebook as her set homepage with her email in the sign in box. Oh hell no! I asked her if she had an account and she at least said she did and didn't lie first, so I did what any parent would and asked her for her password LOL. She of course LIED about it and after 4 tries/lies I simply did a password reset and since I know her email because I do monitor that-not as closely as I should if she was able to set up a Facebook w/o me catching the email ::HMF::. I see 20 some odd borderline provocative pictures, her first and last name, full address, home and cell phone number, and her school. Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that is completely unsafe for the average person let alone a teen. She not only put herself in danger but all of her younger siblings as well. Our house is a predators dream as far as pretty little girls go and here she is spreading our info-along w/pics of her little siblings I might add-on a social networking site. Then I find out that she at least had the account since June but try as I might I can't find where the 'member since' info is on the account. If any of you know where this is located and can point me to it I'd appreciate it. In any case she lost her cell phone, computer, email, digital camera and after her dad sees the Facebook it will be deleted. In the meantime I changed the password and email addy on it so she can't reset the pw. I was looking at some of the girls she has on there and am dumbfounded as to why they would want to place pictures of themselves like that on this site. Just stamp "whore" on your forehead and forgo the internet completely LOL.

Happy 15th Birthday Haley!

LOL the ice cream cake icing bled

Ugh! I feel so old. I can not believe that I am the mom of a child that can legally drive where we are-she isn't driving, but she *could. She is really putting the pressure on to get that license but I need to talk to our insurance agent and the DMV to see what all we need to do.
