What did you say?

With being raised in a house of boys I was not prepared for the fights that girls, sisters, have with each other. My brothers would argue, have a fight over it physical confrontation and it would be done and usually forgotten. My girls bicker non-stop. There is usually one of them in some type of trouble for the words that came out of their mouth. Words are tossed around my house like daggers are tossed at the spinning lady in the circus. "What did you say?" is a usual phrase that is asked of them. I have to laugh about their once trying to fool me with using similar words to repeat when I asked that. For example, 'stop being stupid' was repeated as 'stop playing cupid'. Who do they think came up with that? We owned the phrase change game! That must be why they stopped playing it, even though I secretly laughed on the inside at some of the phrases they came up with.

I often ask them if they know how lucky they are to have sisters. Trust me, if anyone knows about what it feels like to not have a sister it's me, just ask my five brothers LOL! Well, technically I did have a sister but she was about 5 years younger than my mom so when she was around (which wasn't often because she didn't like my mom much) it was like having two moms. My daughters have these people that they can share girlie stuff with and talk to about things, built in BFFs. Every weekend should be more like a big sleepover than a carnival fight. I hope they realize this soon, but maybe that is just my wishful thinking? My hopes are that when they are older they get over the cattiness they have and become not just sisters but friends as well.
