After my daughter Kira weaned herself last January we spent a small fortune in formula over the next 6-7 months until she transitioned to cow's milk. Not to mention the first 3 months of her life that she was on EnfaCare, a special formula to help her gain weight. Had I had known that PBM Products were just as good, we could have saved so much money!
PBM has fought the formula giant Mead Johnson and won. They were vindicated in court that their product all though far less expensive is just as good as the name brands. I have had conversations with another Mom that actually thought she wasn't doing right by her babies because she had to buy the 'generic' brand formula. These companies had actually made her feel like less of a mother when in actuality the formula she was feeding her babies was just as good.
I don't plan on using formula right away for this baby but when I do need it, I at least know there is a great alternative out there that will save us some money. When you have as many children as we do, every little bit counts!
The details of the decision and the complaint are posted online in full at:

I used it for all three of mine! I compared labels and they are the same if not better on everything then the other two big brands and WAY WAY cheaper.
The only thing I found was that their consistency is a bit different. It's...wetter. So it takes a little more to mix if you're using the powder.
I am so happy to come across your post. I was informed on Monday that I need to start supplementing my nine month old. She is only fourteen pounds and I feel like a terrible Mom. It's always nice to save a few dollars.
